Get ready to run around town!
It's the Third Annual

Rhythm Race is presented annually by The College Hill Forum community council to benefit  College Hill redevelopment.

Time to lace on those running shoes or walking shoes and join hundreds of friends,  neighbors -- and some very nice total strangers -- who will make the 2006 College Hill Rhythm Race another fun and fund-raising success.

The Third Annual College Hill Rhythm Race is a 5K run/walk that winds through the historic, tree-lined streets of College Hill. The race draws elite  runners from the tri-state area, as well as recreational runners and walkers. This year the race start/finish and post-race party will be at Pleasant Hill Academy school, 1350 North Bend Road just east of Hamilton Avenue.

Last year's Rhythm Race 5K Run/Walk was our community's biggest event -- and all proceeds go to further College Hill redevelopment -- more than $14,000 was donated by the College Hill Forum to College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation -- CHCURC -- last year from proceeds of the race.

So, register now to be a runner or walker in the 2006 Rhythm Race -- it's a great way to spend a beautiful Friday evening with family or friends. Whether you run for fun, or hope you can at least finish, or run to win -- whether you plan to walk or saunter -- the Rhythm Race is for everyone -- from elite runners to recreational runners to serious strollers.

It's easy to sign up to run or walk. And you save $5 by pre-registering, just $20 for race entry, an official T-shirt and admission to the big post-race Celebration Party!

There are cash prizes for top men and women run finishers, plus medals for top 10% run finishers in all age categories. Race begins and ends at Pleasant Hill Academy elementary school -- and that's where the partying is as well.

To pre-register, go to the web site of our race coordinator, Steve Prescott, at www.sprunning.com by August 15 and you will find an online registration form for Rhythm Race.  If you like paper, rather than electronics, many of our College Hill businesses have registration forms available.  All Fleet Feet running stores also carry registration forms.
